Coronavirus Precautions

515 MIAMI has been closely monitoring the current global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we have determined that specific precautions/preparations should be enacted to protect our communities.

  • We highly advise our affiliates to consider the following suggestions.

  1. Use anti-virus wipes to thoroughly clean your vehicle interior surfaces throughout the day and between passenger changes. The areas you should focus on are the entire interior door panel, all handles, window and lock mechanisms, door storage areas, cup holders, power cords, seats, exterior door handles, and children’s car seats.
  2. Printed and reading materials should be removed from seat-back pockets in vehicles until further notice.
  3. Only offer sealed refreshments and immediately remove all trash with a paper towel or gloves after the ride is completed.
  4. Wearing gloves to support customers with luggage is a good way to minimize inadvertent contact and to reassure passengers.
  5. Handshakes with customers should be avoided until further notice.
  6. If you are around other people, keep 6 feet between you when possible.
  7. Wear a cloth face covering and cover your mouth and nose with tissues if you cough or sneeze.

  • Passengers:

  1. Ask passengers to wear a cloth face covering and cover their mouth and nose with tissues if they cough or sneeze. Ask the passenger to dispose of the tissues after exiting the vehicle.
  2. Tell the passenger to sit in the back seat; do not let passengers sit in the front seat.
  3. Immediately report any passengers intentionally spreading their germs in car interior to management and/or the authorities, as appropriate.
  4. If you feel uncomfortable with providing transport to a visibly sick passenger for safety reasons, you can choose to refuse transport. However, discrimination against passengers on the basis of race, national origin, or other reasons as described in our company’s policies is not allowed.

  • Current Preventative Recommendations for Individuals from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC):

  1. Stay home if you are sick or not feeling well.
  2. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  4. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash—alternatively, cough or sneeze into your upper arm or elbow, NOT into your hands.
  5. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or anti-virus wipes.
  6. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  7. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty

As always, we can assure you that we will keep monitoring and updating you accordingly. 515 MIAMI's duty of care has always been about our community’s safety and well-being. We hope you take all the precautions and stay protected.
